Our Vision and Mission

The Mordican Foundation envisions a future where all students have access to the resources and support necessary to achieve their highest potential.

Our mission is to raise the economic, educational, and social levels of students of Historically Black Colleges and Universities. We provide community for our scholars and financial support to recent high school graduates who are entering the freshman class of an HBCU.

Our Scholarship Program

Through our scholarship program we empower and prepare students for academic excellence, leadership roles, and successful careers.

By relieving financial burdens and fostering a supportive community, we enable students to fully engage in their educational pursuits and contribute meaningfully to their campuses and beyond.

Program Goals

  • Provide financial assistance to students for laptops, software, textbooks, supplies, transportation, personal care products, and for extracurricular and social activities.

  • Build a community of scholars and provide resources, networking, and an opportunity to celebrate academic achievements.

“Education is for improving the lives of others and for leaving your community and world better than you found it.”

— Marian Wright Edelman, President of the Children's Defense Fund
